Marloes Holiday Home
Pembrokeshire
About the Area
The cottage is situated in the attractive village of Marloes on the beautiful Dale Peninsula. It has a choice of walks straight from the door – either inland or along the cliff tops of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. One of the best beaches in the UK, Marloes Sands, with its large expanse of sand and dramatic rocks, is an easy walk away, as is Musselwick beach. Longer walks to St Brides beach, the Deer Park or the coastal village of Dale also offer breathtaking scenery, historical and wildlife interest or a sheltered inlet for water sports. The famous islands of Skokholm and Skomer, with its world-renowned puffin colony, are a stone’s throw away.
The coastal resorts of Little Haven and Broad Haven are a 15-minute drive away, providing award-winning pubs and cafés and a village shop as well as large, easily accessible sandy beaches ideal for children. From Broad Haven, the coastal road winds through a succession of beautiful coves and glorious beaches, including the surfers’ favourite destination, Newgale.
Solva, a small village with shops, pubs, cafés and galleries, has an attractive harbour, and St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, is home to the stunning 12th-century cathedral and to a plethora of independent shops, galleries and eateries open all year round.
Travelling in the opposite direction, Milford Haven is a working port with an interesting marina and is the gateway over the bridge to Tenby, Saundersfoot, and Pembroke, with its ancient castle. Alternatively, for those looking for an adrenaline adventure, visit the award-winning theme parks of Heatherton, Oakwood, or Folly Farm, famed for their roller coasters, wildlife, and family entertainment.
